Meet Jummai

Recent strategic terrorist attacks on 130 villages in northern Nigeria have brought orphans and widows to Jummai's community.
Jummai, a widow herself, has been moved to take action providing comfort, food, and clothing for the many who came with nothing.
A few years ago, Jummai's husband, a pastor, was given a vision to build a school. The family worked diligently to find support to build the school. Unfortunately, her husband passed away before the building was completed. Jummai was persistent and started a small farm on a plot of land adjacent to the school that her husband purchased. She opted to raise chickens, rabbits, and catfish because of the high demand. Though her adventure was successful, it was small, not enough to complete the school. By a sure miracle, a donor step forward and financed the project to completion.
A few months later, Jummai was introduced to H.O.P.E. When she learned that H.O.P.E.'s mission was to provide education to those living in poverty, she welcomed the idea of joining the mission.
Together, our mission is to increase Jummai's small farm so that it will fully sustain the school. By increasing the number of animals, providing adequate shelter, and growing the food necessary for a healthy diet, Jummai's vision of educating children and widows will come to pass.
